Govern-AID quietly governs your online presence — and, when
someone you love has passed, we remove their digital traces
with care, so their memory can rest in peace.
Every account we close is documented. Every promise, in writing.
A person's identity should not outlive their consent — nor their
life.
Old accounts still hold names, photos and answers to forgotten
security questions. Data brokers resell them. People-search pages
rank them. We find these traces wherever they live — social
networks, marketplaces, forums, data brokers — and we retire them,
one documented request at a time.
What we do
Two practices, one standard of care.
Whether you are reducing your own exposure or protecting the
memory of someone who has passed, the work is the same: find
every trace, close every door, prove every result.
01
Presence governance — for the living
Your identity, retired from the places that no longer serve
you. We audit your digital footprint, then erase what
shouldn't be public: dead accounts, forgotten subscriptions,
data-broker listings, old forum profiles.
02
Legacy care — for families
When a loved one passes, their accounts stay open — exposed
to breaches, renewal charges and people-search sites. We act
on your behalf to close or memorialize them, and to recover
photos, messages and domains for the family.
03
Ongoing governance
Traces reappear: brokers re-add records, search engines
re-index pages. Quarterly monitoring keeps a footprint —
yours or an estate's — closed, with alerts and removals
handled before you ever notice.
For grieving families
Their memory deserves quiet.
In the weeks after a loss, the last thing a family should manage
is a login page. We take the entire digital estate off your
hands — with compassion, discretion, and proof of every action
taken. You grieve. We govern.
What we remove
Social profiles, people-search listings, marketplace accounts,
subscriptions, domains, comment histories — any public trace
of your loved one.
What we recover
Photos, messages, videos and files the family asks us to keep
— delivered to you privately before any account is closed.
What you receive
A plain-language report: every platform contacted, every
request filed, every removal confirmed — with evidence.
Why families trust us
Discretion is the service.
Confidential by default
We collect the minimum a case requires, share it with no one,
and destroy our working files once the report is delivered.
Your family's story stays your family's.
Honest about limits
Some records can be closed in days; others are legally
protected. We tell you which is which before you pay anything
— and never promise what a platform won't allow.
Bilingual, human, unhurried
Based in Montréal, we work in English and French, by phone
or video — never through ticket systems. One person carries
your case from first conversation to final report, so you
never repeat your story twice.
How it works
Four steps, start to finish.
Confidential consultation
A free 30-minute conversation, by phone or video, in English
or French. No obligation, no paperwork.
Digital inventory
With your authorization, we map every account, profile and
listing connected to the person concerned.
Removal & closure
We contact each platform, file the right request, follow up
persistently, and navigate every company's process for you.
Written confirmation
You receive a plain-language report documenting every removal,
with evidence attached.
Questions, answered plainly
Before you write to us
How can you close accounts without the passwords?
Every major platform has an official process for deceased users
and authorized representatives — death certificates, proof of
authority, identity documents. We know these processes and
prepare the paperwork for you, so nothing is rejected for
missing evidence.
Can you remove someone from Google search results?
We remove records at the source — people-search sites, brokers
and directories — and request de-indexing where platform
policies allow. Removing the source is what eventually clears
search results; we explain the realistic timeline for your
specific case before we begin.
What if a platform refuses to cooperate?
We escalate through appeals, privacy offices and, where
applicable, formal legal requests. If something genuinely
cannot be removed, you will know exactly why — in writing —
and we adjust the scope and the fee before proceeding.
Is my family's information kept confidential?
Yes. We practise strict data minimization: we request only the
documents a case requires, keep them encrypted, and destroy
working files after delivery. We never sell, share or reuse
anything you entrust to us.
Do you work outside Québec?
Yes — we serve clients across Canada, in English and French.
Most of our work is done remotely, so distance is rarely an
obstacle.
